This session will start by having each participant come up with one thing that they want to be great at as a team player. These will be recorded on a dry erase board. There will be 3 survivor type challenges to be performed. Bullring activity 2 groups will compete to move a tennis ball from one pipe to another that is 30 yards away. Each tennis ball will rest on a pvc pipe and a ring with strings attached will be used to lift and transport the ball. If it falls, teams must restart. Teams of 4-5. Get ball from one end of field to the other by throwing or kicking it and catching it in a fishing net. Neither the thrower nor the catcher may talk. Each time the ball is caught a different person must catch it so that all team players are participating. If dropped go back. If pass halfway line only go back there when dropped. Blindfolded construction. Each team will break into groups of 2 one of which is blindfolded. Teams will assemble wooden houses while blindfolded and instructions will be given to them by their partners. At the conclusion of the the activities the participants will be given Sachem cards to write 5 things from the dry erase board that they feel are most important to them for achieving success as a team player. This can later be used as positive self-talk.
